how it works

How it Works

The WBW (Web Boat Watch) system sensors detect motion, and optionally other aspects of security or safety of the unoccupied boats such as high bilge water, low batterys, lost shore power, freezing temperatures, cabin intrusion, etc.

WBW sensors then relay the sensor data out of boat to the satellite up-link device on the deck called a U-ANTS. U-ANTS send all the sensor data to one of our 53 satellites plus send an OK once a day to show it's working.

All sensor information is then displayed on the Internet for authorized users to view on their user chart. Users can then monitor authorized or unauthorized entries, temperature or optional other sensors and know the boat is secure. If the user has selected optional e-mail or cell phone text message notification it is also then sent.

WBW Motion Sensors

WBW sensors detect movement of people in monitored areas. Detection area is up to 15 ft (5 m) X 6 ft (2 m).

Installation is simple by mounting wireless sensors on bulkheads or walls using adhesive picture hanging tape and if needed enclosed hardware.

A three minute re-alarm prevention delay is built-in to avoid continuing alarms in occupied areas which would reduce sensor battery life and create excessive satellite usage cost. Motion Sensors are also equipped with alarm and battery LED and a on-off switch for occupied areas.

WBW Bilge Sensors

WBW Bilge sensors detect the level of the water in your boats bilge. Bilge Sensors show rise and fall of water level as a % of water levels. The Bilge Sensor can also be used as a outboard motor theft sensor. It has a dection loop wire which can be threaded through motor harness.

WBW Wireless Remotes

WBW wireless remotes only switches off Web Boat Watch motion or people sensors. Most importantly, it only switches them off for a 8 hour period starting from when the D button on the 4 button remotes or the B button on the 2 button remotes is pressed. The max 8 hour period is set to prevent the user from neglecting to reset the system. By pressing the A button on remote clears the 8 hour timer and enables the system.

WBW Battery monitor (available soon)

WBW Battery sensors detect battery voltage while placing "no load" on your boats battery. Battery sensor provides operating range resolution of ± 0.1 volts.

All WBW devices are wireless and self contained powered with long life batteries.
